Peter Schmidt Group elevates Delta Cafés’ "Signature" range with a striking new botanical design
With the sophisticated design of Delta Cafés Signature range, Peter Schmidt Group brings authorship, quality and authenticity to the shelves.
Delta Cafés is not only Portugal’s most popular coffee brand – it’s the country’s no. 1 love brand: recognized nationwide, both in cafés and in people’s homes. Launched in retail at the beginning of January 2026, the Delta Signature blends are available in two variants — Intense and Crema — both offered as whole beans in 500 g packs. Pedro Vilar, CCO of Peter Schmidt Group Lisbon, says “This project represents the latest launch within a partnership that Delta Cafés and Peter Schmidt Group have been developing over the past four years.”
At a time when coffee culture is becoming increasingly discerning and informed, consumers are looking for more than just good taste: they seek authenticity, origin and the pleasure of ritual. Preparing coffee at home has evolved from a purely functional act into a personal and sensory experience. It was within this context that Peter Schmidt Group was challenged to create an identity and packaging capable of communicating quality, modernity and distinction, without losing the connection to the craftsmanship and attention to detail of the Master Roaster – the intended positioning for a higher-tier specialty coffee such as this blend.
Alongside Peter Schmidt Group, BBDO and Interone were part of TEAMBBDO. To bring the campaign to life, the agencies worked with partners Tektite, Supreme Music, and the Erich Ludwig manufactory. Clients were Brand Ukraine (ukraine.ua) and the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine.
Under the “Artisan” concept, the name Signature was born – a designation that conveys authorship, precision and authenticity. Peter Schmidt Group’s creative approach translates this concept into an identity with character, presence and a clear design signature. The packaging stands out through an elegant and contemporary visual language, placing coffee at the centre of the experience. The Signature typography introduces personality and tradition, giving the range a strong sense of authorship and distinction on shelf.
Visually, Peter Schmidt Group opted for a bold colour palette that breaks with the traditional codes of the category. A matte black base creates deep contrast with green and pink accents, reinforcing the premium positioning of the range while enhancing the metallic gold details. The result is a striking graphic presence with immediate impact and refined sophistication. At the base of the pack, an illustrative system inspired by the world of the botanical alchemist and the origin of coffee introduces texture, colour and narrative. Forms evoke berries, ingredients and natural aromas, treated in a graphic and suggestive manner. Each pack thus becomes a distinctive object, with strong aesthetic identity and collectible appeal.
The result is a packaging solution that balances contemporary precision with artisanal heritage, reflecting the strategic approach and creative rigor of Peter Schmidt Group. A design that elevates the positioning of the Delta Signature range – Intense and Crema – and transforms the ritual of making coffee into a refined, sensory and visually memorable experience.
